Project Description
Ninestone was brought in by a Northeast health plan with 165,000 members to provide support for a QNXT implementation that had been in process for more than a year. Several go-live dates had been missed and it was imperative that the organization meet the next go-live date.Our primary role was to provide:
- Project Management support for the customer, addressing go-live planning, parallel testing, etc.
- Leadership for business decisions, sign-off and testing of financial modules, including premium billing, accounts receivable, capitation, check runs, etc.
- Team lead for unit testing and parallel testing
- Interim Director of Business Analysis and Configuration
- Lead for TriZetto day-to-day vendor relationship management
- Lead analyst for Configuration team
- Reporting analyst support, including development/revision of requirements and specifications and development and execution of test plans
- Project administration and coordination
Our client went live on QNXT within a few months, and Ninestone was engaged throughout the remainder of the year for post go-live support. We continued to provide support for another year, acting as the lead business analyst for key automation improvements in QNXT integration with other key databases and applications in the organization.
Project DescriptionNinestone was engaged by a 130,000 member health plan based near San Jose, CA, to provide project management support for a HealthTrio xpress implementation that had been in process for nearly four years. A change in IT leadership allowed the organization to review progress to date and engage Ninestone to provide project management support to complete the implementation.
The engagement included an assessment of progress to date and the development of a new timeline, including implementation milestones and re-engagement of the management team and end users throughout the organization. The customer ultimately went live as projected in the revised go-live plan.

We continued to be engaged by our client for an additional year, supporting a variety of initiatives. Throughout the tenure of the engagement, we had formal and informal discussions with key management team members about IT staffing, job descriptions, organizational structure, etc.

Ninestone was engaged by a 230,000 member health plan based in the Northeast to provide project management and implementation support for a HealthTrio connect Personal Health Record and Web Portal solution implementation. We were brought in early in the process and provided the following services:
- Project Management structure, process and tools
- Project Management oversight, including:
- Steering Committee participation
- Risk Management
- Change Control
- Vendor Relationship Management
- Project Management analyst support, including:
- Issues management (technical and business process; internal and external)
- Status reporting
- Business analyst support
Throughout the engagement, Ninestone has also played a critical support role with the CIO and key IT management team members related to IT staffing, job descriptions, organizational structure, etc.
